Collaborating with and coordinating member volunteers

Working with the Board of Directors to establish an annual budget and work plan, and managing organizational resources toward those plans

2. Membership Retention and Growth. As directed by the Board, the Executive Director will be expected to grow the membership in WCTA. His or her compensation will be structured to reflect the Executive Director’s success in this area. Additional responsibilities include:

In addition, we will provide you with your facility’s Energy Star Energy Performance Rating. There is no cost to you for this program.

Why are we offering this?
We are a new VAR of the Energy Expert product and as part of our marketing initiative to gain happy customers quickly, we would like to be able to demo live facility energy usage data from a few partner companies to our prospects, along with accompanying graphs, charts, tables and cumulative dollar, energy and carbon emission savings examples. We anticipate some mutual marketing efforts in the form of press release(s) and/or quotes as these example facilities start to understand and then reduce their energy usage through low or no cost recommendations. Our preference is to work with a company(s) who has, or is planning to have energy savings/green initiatives in 2010 and beyond.

Why would I want it?
To benchmark and build a profile of your facility’s energy usage and begin to understand how your building is using Energy on a daily and real-time basis, not from a monthly utility bill 4-6 weeks later. To measure, verify, compare and report energy savings and waste from daily operations, retrofits, green initiatives, weather factors, etc. To prioritize energy investments and determine where you can save money with little or no cost, measure staff behavioral changes(turning off lights and computers), and be alerted and react quickly to mechanical failures. Because of customer, employee or legislative requirements.

What is Energy Expert?
A sophisticated, yet easy-to-use software application that trains itself to create a “smart model” of your building and compares daily energy consumption against this norm. The technology was developed by the U.S. Department of Energy and will tell you whether your facility over-consumed; under-consumed or used about the right amount of energy through a convenient email notification. It is a wireless and web-based is a tool and allows you to anticipate energy usage based on weather forecast, compare, day of week, previous months, years, cumulative data, etc. Consists of 1 battery powered pulse counter, 1 gateway device and a web-based subscription service, takes 15 minutes to install with no IT involvement with an approximate $3600 value for the 1 – time hardware ($1300) and setup fee ($500) and annual subscription service ($1800).

Who else is using it?
Hundreds of companies and facilities including the ASHRAE Headquarters building, the Government Accountability Offices (GAO) in Washington D.C. and recently 700 K-12 facilities in the State of Idaho, purchased the solution with funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
