Cold Call Boot Camp is an interactive sales workshop designed to produce results, learn effective cold calling techniques, and overcome call reluctance. Participants will learn the no pressure prospecting call and develop a customized approach geared to their business, how to get past gatekeepers, when and how to leave voice mail, how to overcome stalls and objections, and deal directly with the causes of call reluctance. Live calls will be made and participants will have the benefit of receiving coaching and feedback in between calls.

You don’t have to like cold calls, you just have to make them!

The boot camp is perfect for salespeople, managers and business owners who are:

Frustrated with getting the response of “Just send me information.”

Tired of not getting past the “Gate Keeper”

Experiencing call reluntance

Not getting enough qualified leads

Investment: $249 includes both Session A & B

The benefits of Session B include (but aren’t limited to):
- Feedback from other classmates on participant’s cold calls
- Ability to see others in action to pick up good cold calling habits and eliminate the bad ones
- Setting actual appointments to follow up on

Attendees should come prepared with:
- At least 10 legitimate targets to call
- A positive attitude toward improvement
- The courage to fail
- An intent to SUCCEED!

Here what past participants have to say about attending Cold Call Boot Camp:

The best move is “this is a cold call and my boss makes me do them…” Some were still upset, but they always rescued me. Awesome stuff! Thanks for the great class. BJ told me he has never had so much fun cold calling.

Cody from MoveUp Web Marketing

“Everything was great. Good material and made me excited about cold-calling. It was extremely helpful and I will recommend this to my boss for all new hires.”

Heather from Kelley Imaging

“James Alberson did a great job getting the group involved and opening a new way of thinking about Cold-Calling. It was a fun way to attack the normally dreaded part of sales.”

Billy Lavelle from Kelley Imaging

“Took away a lot of the mystery and anxiety of contacting strangers, you could do a segment on using the same techniques as a segway to dating.”

Tyler, transitioning into a sales role

The next Cold Call Boot Camp is a two part session beginning on Friday, February 17 with Session A from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Session B on Friday, February 24 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The boot camp will be held at Sandler Training Center on 2815 Eastlake Avenue E Suite 150, Seattle, WA 98102.
With the passage of the Free Trade Agreement between Colombia and the U.S. more likely than ever before, the opportunity for doing business in Colombia is of growing importance.

A country once mired in violence, Colombia has developed its infrastructure and economic systems to such a degree that The World Bank ranked Colombia as the most business friendly country in Latin America in its 2011 “Doing Business Report.” In March of this year Standard and Poor’s improved Colombia’s debt rating to investment grade, Colombia has a growing and under-penetrated consumer market, and in December 2010, Gartner Inc. identified it as a “global leader among world destinations for outsourced services.” Together with the growing demand for wine and enterprise software, and the booming petroleum industry, the opportunities are boundless – especially for companies in Washington State.

Please join Stephen E. Murphy, Senior Advisor with Pacific Northwest Advisors, LLC and Felipe Ayala, Senior Licensed Banker at Wells Fargo, for a discussion on the current and future outlook of doing business in Colombia. Fresh from a recent trip to Colombia, Mr. Murphy will provide more color to the “business-political” climate and the issue of personal safety. Mr. Ayala will focus on the financial and banking situation and the US Dollar/Peso.

This session, co-sponsored by the World Trade Center Tacoma and the Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle, and hosted by the South Sound Regional Business Incubator and the Federal Way Chamber of Commerce, will be moderated by Sandra Forero Bush, Vice-President and COO of the World Trade Center Tacoma.

The Colombian government has introduced several investment incentives designed to encourage businesses looking to engage in the Colombian economy. Among these are the most competitive Permanent Free Trade Zone in Latin America with a single 15% income tax rate, Singe Enterprise Free Trade Zones which allow companies to establish themselves in any area of the country, Legal Stability Agreements, special Import/Export systems which allow service exporting companies in Colombia to import capital goods exempt of custom duties and sales tax, and other industry specific incentives for the following sectors: Hotels/Ecotourism, Late Yield Crops, Medical and Software products, Biomass, Aeolian and Agricultural Energy Generation, and Publishing Companies. For further information please visit the Official Investment Portal of Colombia.

Since the start of the year, markets have been increasingly anticipating monetary policy tightening by the European Central Bank and the Bank of England. Although the U.S. Federal Reserve has been reluctant to adjust its official policy stance, the pace of the U.S. economic recovery has accelerated and Treasury yields have risen. We see the scope and the timing of the central bank exit policies determining FX market ‘winners’ and ‘losers’ in the quarters ahead.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo, he was a senior analyst at the leading economic consultancy 4Cast, focusing primarily on the major currencies.
If the current U.S. economic atmosphere of budget shortfalls and the debt ceiling has you worried then think about Finland in the early 1990s.

In 1991, Finland’s GDP fell by 6.2%. Exports dropped by 13% due to the dissolution of the Soviet Union and loss of Finland’s most important export market. Through 1993, GDP shrunk by 10%. As a Finnish report notes, “Households defaulted, businesses went bankrupt and the entire banking system was at the verge of collapse.” But, as is often the case, crisis spurred action and innovation. Esko Aho was the Prime Minister.

Finland looked to innovation and education as a way out of its crisis. In the midst of cutting spending across the board, the Finnish national government increased spending on R&D and education, both key to creating a high tech, knowledge economy.

By 2001 Finland had become one of the fastest growing and most competitive economies in the world. Learn about Finland’s transformation from agricultural economy to high-tech with Esko Aho, former Prime Minister of Finland.

Esko Aho served as Finland’s Prime Minister from 1991 until 1995. He was a Member of Parliament since 1983 and the Leader of the Centre Party from 1990 – 2002. As the youngest prime minister in Finland’s history, at age 36, Mr. Aho responded to his country’s recession by implementing strong economic reforms and bringing Finland into the European Union. Mr. Aho is a former president of the Finnish Innovation Fund, SITRA and is currently executive vice president, Corporate Relations and Responsibility at Nokia.
