The new season of the Science & Technology Discovery Series begins September 10 with a look at the legacy of the Exxon Valdez and the effects of oil spills on aquatic ecosystems by Usha Varanasi, director of the Northwest Fisheries Science Center and winner of a Department of Commerce Gold Medal.
