Chic Meets Geek Debuts in Seattle During Geek Week

Posted by StigmareInc in Articles

On Wednesday, August 18th, Founder Carol Tran will host her fourth Chic Meets Geek™ event in Seattle, Washington. Based in San Francisco, Chic Meets Geek™ is designed to bridge the social gap between the cultural chic and intellectual geeks. It is similar to a conference, but with a social atmosphere. The purpose is to gather two different groups in one room to inspire, share, and connect through a panel of geek and chic celebrity speakers to talk about their inspirational background. A nonprofit beneficiary is highlighted at every Chic Meets Geek™ event and themed around the speaker panelists’ expertise to bridge the gap. It’s where tech conference meets red carpet meets charity fundraiser.

The event on Wednesday, August 18th will highlight and connect the flourishing Seattle community of extraordinary chic and geek leaders, businesses, performance artists, and non-profits. Jolkona Foundation and Washington Cash are the non-profit beneficiaries of the event.

Chic Meets Geek™ is teaming up with Gnomedex to be the “Opening Celebration Event” to honor humble, but extraordinary, geek and chic leaders, businesses, and non-profits. On August 18th, Chic Meets Geek™ will challenge attendees with thought-provoking ideas and situations. There will be speakers, performance artists, tech/chic demos, all-you-can-eat and drink, and a unique networking opportunity for all guests. It’s a power networking event for the extroverts to the wallflowers. The event will be hosted at the ultra-chic Hotel 1000 in Seattle, WA and tickets can be purchased on the website, http://chicmeetsgeek.com.
