Harbor Properties Promotes Dawn Stephens to Chief Financial Officer
Dawn Stephens, CPA, was recently promoted to chief financial officer at Harbor Properties, Inc, a Seattle-based full-service real estate company. In her new role she will lead the Accounting and IT departments with primary responsibility for financial reporting, cash management, tax strategy, risk management, insurance, employee benefits and arranging financing for Harbor’s residential and commercial properties.
“Dawn brings more than 20 years of accounting experience to Harbor Properties,” said Douglas Daley, the company’s president and CEO. “She is a great asset to our company, and her expertise will be critical as we move forward aggressively with our mixed-use development projects.” Harbor recently broke ground on Link, a 200-unit apartment complex in West Seattle, and is in the process of planning additional workforce-housing buildings in the next few years.
Previous to Stephens’s current position, she served as the director of finance and the corporate controller at Harbor. She is a member of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Commercial Real Estate Women and the Construction Financial Managers Association, where Stephens previously served as president of the Puget Sound Chapter. Stephens is a member of the board of directors of the Hutch Holiday Gala, benefiting the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
Stephens has a B.A. in Business Administration from Washington State University and lives in the Seattle area with her husband.
