JOB OPENING: Sales Associate and Event Coordinator

Foodz Catering and Acalia Events is looking for a sales associate/event planner. The ideal candidate has experience in sales, event planning and a basic knowledge of Caterease Software. We are seeking someone who can meet the needs of the business today and help us grow into the future. We need a “rock star” who is high energy, has a positive attitude toward work and life, is hard working, a problem solver, and creative. This position has growth potential to become the Sales Manager.

- Excellent Organizational and detail orientated skill set
- Ability to organize workflow, establish priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong Microsoft suite skills (word, and excel)
- Ability to deal with changing priorities and successfully deliver work with quick turnaround while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

Primary Job Duties
- Answer phones/help clients
- Contact prospects from web site
- Prepare quotes for clients
- Secure contracts
- Track prospects/proposals
- Maintain event calendar
- Finalize and order rentals for events
- Update final menus/ proposals
- Check event file – payroll sheet, staff details sheet, load out, rental list
- Meet with clients
- Client walk thru’s on-site Attend shows and *open houses and other marketing events to further the growth of the company
- Attend weekly meetings to review policy, discuss marketing ideas, review business in general
- Attend weekly meetings to upload the weeks events/download from the week before
- Seek new clients
Compensation:
- Starting salary is 28,000 – 30,000 base rate
- A $ 50.00 gratuity will be given for all client events that you work as staff as a lead, bartender, chef, or server
- No gratuity is given for open houses/trade shows or sponsorship (PR) events that further the growth of the company.
- No healthcare benefits are available at this time. Can be negotiated after 1 year.
- Sales bonuses are based on exceeding sales goals. This is to be negotiated.
- 1 parking pass in the lot behind the building.
- Vacation in the 1st year is 10 days of PTO. (You are eligible for this in increments of 1 day per month for the 1st 10 months.) This increases by 1 day per year.
Hours/Days:
You must be able to work a ½ day on Saturdays and 1 evening a week to meet potential clients. Schedule as follows.
- Tuesday- Saturday
- 8 hours Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday exact time TBD 10 hours Wednesday – 10 AM – 8 PM
- 4 hours Saturday 10 AM – 2 PM
- Days off Sunday and Mondays
NOTE: If you are scheduled to work an event as staff you can “flex” your hours as long as all administrative duties are handled. A reasonable amount of overtime is expected when necessary.
