About Earl W. Overstreet II
Earl is president of General Microsystems Inc. (GMI), a company he founded in 1983.   GMI solutions include systems and data storage products  from industry leading vendors including Sun Microsystems, Hitachi Data Systems, HP, and Symantec.  Customers include The Boeing Company, Expeditors International, Starbucks, State of Washington, City of Tacoma, and Group Health Cooperative.

Earl’s career started at the General Electric Miniature Lamp Department where he held positions in manufacturing, sales, and marketing.  At Wyle Laboratories Electronic Marketing Group his responsibilities included sales, sales management, and division management.

Earl has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Case Institute of Technology and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.  He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and Tabor 100.

He serves on the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee and the Bellevue Entrepreneur Center Steering Committee.  He is a member of the Central Washington University College of Business Advisory Board and the Washington Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises Ad Hoc Advisory Committee.
